Carla Frade

Latin Rhythms in Blues

Carla started dancing and jumping as soon as she could! One of her favourite games was jumping from the bed to the floor, as if it were a trampoline, somersaulting and dancing to music, while she lived great adventures in her imagination.

She studied at Chapitô – Professional School of Performance Arts – in the Circus Theater area. She also trained in Classical Ballet, Tap Dance , voice and singing, as well as studying Photography and some other scattered things, as she believes in the idea of well-roundedness.

In 2009 she discovered Lindy Hop and started taking lessons to be able to choreograph a dancing acrobatic act, but eventually fell in love with this dance and never stopped. She was invited by Abeth Farag from Swing Station to begin teaching in 2011. In 2014 she discovered the Blues dance that allows her to combine musical and theatrical expression in various rhythms.

Addicted to learning and new experiences that bring spice to life, she invests heavily in training because knowledge is the spice that makes life a delicious dish.
